Over the last couple of weeks I have hit a nice patch of nostaligic self-consciousness that usually happens once a year or so. It is that late-middle school to early-high school self awareness where I have the irrational feeling that no one really likes me (I however do own this time for instilling my lovely humourous and witty irony that sometimes appears), but then I realize that I have been out every night for over a week and really I am just wicked tired, and am no longer the crazy extrovert that i once was, and all goes back to normal, and I stop feeling so self-conscious... Until yesterday, and this happens.....
So Chuck Klosterman is perhaps the American Nick Hornby, and closer to my generation, but he is the funniest writer I have read since David Eggers. And perhaps writes books that are even better on tape. Thus that is why it is 11pm and I should be asleep, but I can't get enough.
OK, so this is a bit delayed than the promised AM post, but this will be a bit of a long one covering various oddities in my life.
so i haven't blogged in a bit, and really this is my blogg saying that tommorow i will blog more, but hey I will have funny stories.
Here is something interesting. Penguin Publishing is writing a book utilizing the open-source fun of wiki. I am sure it won't be grand, but an interesting idea of colaberation and artistic expression. You can find it here. A Million Penguins
Well with Oscar buzz around, i have finally got to see one of the buzz worthy movies. "The Last King of Scotland." It was amazing. At least the acting was. I didn't know how violent the film was going to be and was a bit taken aback. Just an FYI.
